KEEPING YOUR WINDSHIELD SPICK AND SPAN

Ever wonder how you can get a clean and clear windshield, especially when it’s rainy season? The answer is, it’s a combination of a fully functional wipers and good cleaning habit.

 

Car wipers are certainly essential, as they function to remove water from the windshield, thus ensuring the driver’s visibility and overall driving safety.

 

However, wipers may not make your windshields appear entirely clear like brand-new. Some stubborn water spots may be getting in the way. But you also don’t need to take your car to the autoshop to make your windshield spick and span.

 

To do that, you only need to arm yourself with the right cleaning equipment: cleaning liquid, rubbing compound that contains stain-removal wax, and cleaning cloths. Choose soft microfiber cloths and a chamois cloth made of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA). All items can be purchased at your nearest auto shop.

Once you have everything ready, the first step is to clean the windshield from dust and dirt using the chamois cloth and wipe the second time using the microfiber cloth.

 

Next, spray cleaning liquid or rubbing compound evenly on the windshield. Using the microfiber cloth, wipe clean the liquid and rubbing compound. Be as thorough as you can.

 

Despite those easy steps, do not ignore the importance of maintaining the condition of your wipers. After all, they are your main equipment when driving.
